LET Access: Ólafía Þórunn 5th – Valdís Þóra T-7 at the ASGI Ladies Open in Switzerland

Icelandic pros Ólafía Þórunn Kristinsdóttir of The Golf Club of Reykjavík (abbr. GR) and Valdís Þóra Jónsdóttir, from the Golf Club Leynir in Akranes (abbr. GL) had a great finish ath the ASGI Championship which concluded in Switzerland on May 9th 2015.

The tournament was a part of the 2nd tier developmental Women´s Golf Series in Europe, LET Access.

Ólafía Þórunn who had the lead after the 2nd round, ended in fifth place, with a total of 5 under par, 211 strokes (70 66 75).  This is Ólafía´s best performance in the 4 tournaments she has played in the LET Access Series.

Valdis Þóra  ended up in 7th-9th place, with a score of 3 under par, 213 strokes (71 72 70).  This was her  best performance of the season and boths´ best results from the beginning in this strong professional league.

The winner of the tournament was the amateur Olivia Cowan from Germany, who had a score of 9 under par in total.

This was the 3rd tournament of the LET Access Series this season.

In the first tournament this season, the Generali de Dinard, which took place in France Valdís Þóra ended in 35th place, but Ólafía Þórunn did not make the cut.

In the 2nd tournament Valdís ended T-12 but Ólafía Þórunn T-20 in Lugo in Spain.

This is Valdís Þóra´s 2nd year on the LET Access, but Ólafía Þórunn is just starting.
