Eygló Myrra Óskarsdóttir is doing well in the West Coast Conference Championship

One of Iceland´s young golfers, who is studying in the US and playing on the golfteam of her College is Eygló Myrra Óskarsdóttir. In Iceland she is a member of the Golf Club Oddur (GO), the club who has the highest membership fees in Iceland. (More on that in an article tomorrow)  Eygló Myrra attends the University of San Francisco where she is majoring in finance.

These days, i.e. April 15th-April 18th Eygló Myrra is taking part in the West Coast Conference Championship, which is being held at the  San Juan Oaks Golf Club in Hollister, California. The participants are 30 golfers from 6 Colleges.

Eygló Myrra has a combined score of +7 over par, 161 (75 76) after 2 days. Today she carded a +4 over par (got 6 bogeys and 2 birdies) after having played +3 over par yesterday (when she had 3 birdies, 4 bogeys and a doublebogey on her scorecard).  Yesterday she was in a tie for 2nd place, but slipped to 6th place today, 1 stroke behind those T-2´s.

The team of the University of San Francisco is currently in 3rd place.

We here on Golf1 are wishing Eygló Myrra the best of luck tomorrow on the tournaments final round.
