Guðrún Brá Björgvinsdóttir set a new course record from the blue tees at the White River Golf Course today

Today the 4th of 6  Arion bank sponsored Junior Golf tournaments took place at the beautiful and extremely scenic White River Golf Course in South Iceland. This 4th tournament is actually the Icelandic Junior Championship in Stroke Play.

The defending champion in the age group of 17-18 year old girls is Guðrún Brá Björgvinsdóttir from the Golf Club Keilir in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland.

She pulled a magnificent round of 69 in this first of three rounds of the Junior Championship and set a new course record from the blue tees at the White River Golf Course.  There are 147 youngsters competing and Guðrún Brá has the best score after the 1st round of them all.

This is an exceptionally good result on this course which is far from the easiest one in Iceland, as you´ll find out if you come to Iceland to play golf …. since if you do the White River GC is one you should definately  play!
