Birgir Björn Magnússon had the best score on the 2nd day of the Icelandic Junior Championship in Stroke Play

A young and promising golfer, Birgir Björn Magnússon, from Keilir Golf Club, had the best score at the 2nd round of the Icelandic Junior Championship in Stroke Play.  The Championship is taking place on 20th-22nd of July 2012 at the hard, trying, White River Golf Course in the South of Iceland.  The Golf Course is 5429 meters (5937 yards) from the yellow tees and par-71.

Birgir Björn had a magnificent round of 1 under par, 70 strokes. His feat is in particular brilliant, taking into account that his age group of boys 15-16 yrs. caught the worst weather today, it rained and was rather windy.

Birgir Björn is the Icelandic Champion in Stroke Play 2011 in his age group, boys 14 yrs and younger.

There will be a 3rd round of Stroke Play tomorrow at the White River Golf Course, but the weather forcaast is rather bad, much wind and rain.
