Anna Sólveig Snorradóttir, Valdís Þóra Jónsdóttir and Sigmundur Einar Másson lead after the 2nd day of the Icelandic Championship in Stroke Play

The second day of the Icelandic Championship in Stroke Play came to an end today. And there was a cut. Only the 18 with the best score and ties of 27 competitors in the women´s flight continue and the T-72´s in the men´s flight.

Sigmundur Einar Másson of the Golf Club of Kópavogur and Garðabær (abbreviated: GKG) has taken the lead in the men´s flight. His score after 2 days is 3 under par (Strandarvöllur the Golf Course of Hella Golf Club is par-70).  Sigmundur has a combined score of 137 strokes (68 69) and after 2 x 36 holes he has gotten 7 birdies, 25 pars and 4 bogeys.

In the women´s flight there´s a tie at the top. Valdís Þóra Jónsdóttir, Golf Club Leynir from Akranes in Iceland is tied along with the 17 year old Anna Sólveig Snorradóttir from Keilir Golf Club, in Hafnarfjörður.  Both have a combined score of  6 over par, altogether 146 strokes, Anna Sólveig (72 74) and Valdís Þóra (71 75).
