Club Championships in July 2013 in Iceland

It´s been a while since there have been updates on golf in Iceland here on Golf 1 this past month of July, since this is really the high season in golf in Iceland, as in other probably in most other parts of the world.

Apart from following Mickelson closely winning the British Open on television here in Iceland, one of the highlights in July in Iceland are the annual Club Championships.

There are 65 Golf Clubs in Iceland of which 44 held Club Championships 2013.

In some parts of Iceland there were as few as 4 who participated in them namely in the Golf Club of Höfn í Hornafirði (abbreviated: GHH) in the eastern part of Iceland and at Golf Club og Skagaströnd (GSK) in the northern part of Iceland.

The Club with the most participants was the Golf Club of Reykjavík (GR) were there were 566, who participated, divded as in most parts of the country into groups according to age and gender.
