Icelands otherworldly beauty
It´s been far too long since there have been articles in English posted here on Golf 1.
We´ll just start again by a „borrowed” interesting article which was published in the New York Times and is named „Iceland´s otherworldly beauty” CLICK HERE:
What the article´s author doesn´t mention is that on the Ring Road (a road that takes you in a circle around the island, in Icelandic: Hringvegur) you´ll find some of the most interesting golfcourses in Europe.
All in all 65, which is the most per capita in the whole world!
Among these georgeous Icelandic golfcourses is one, Hvaleyrin in Hafnarfjörður at Golf Club Keilir, which last year 2012, was chosen one of Europe´s 100 best golfcourses by the website www.top100golfcourses.co.uk. You can see their evaluation by clicking on the following link :
