Gísli Sveinbergsson T-6 after 2nd round at the Biltmore Orange Bowl in Coral Gables, Miami

Gisli Sveinbergsson from the Golf Club Keilir in Hafnarfjörður, A-national player, Icelandic champion in stroke play in the boys category age 17-18 and the winner of the Duke of York in 2014 played the second round of the Boys Junior Orange Bowl Championship at the Biltmore golf course in Coral Gables, in Miami at an impressive 4 undir pari, 67 strokes.

Magnificent …. and we here in Iceland are all so proud of Gísli!!!

Gísli received one great eagle (on the 5th fairway) on the 2nd round, 5 birdies, one bogey and unfortunatelly also a double bogey. Gísli´s total score after 2 rounds of play is one of  2-under-par, 140 strokes (73 67).

Gisli shares 6th place with two others who also played to a total of 2 under par. Gisli shot up the scoreboard with his sparkling 67 from seat 30 which he was in after the 1st round to a T-6 position.

Gísli is born on August 31st 1997 and is thus only 17 years old.  He has had a fantastic golf year 2014 both in Iceland and abroad and is absolutely one of Iceland´s most promising and talented young golfers.

Next year he will commence playing golf collegially in the US, in Ohio.

Now that his 3rd round is about to start we here at Golf1 wish Gísli all the best …. as always.
