The Masters and Northern Lights?

The 2015 Masters major will be held during the week of Monday, April 6 through Sunday, April 12.

It´s probably the dream of every golfer to, at least once in their lifetime, to visit Augusta National and watch the brilliant golf magic of the world´s best…. and eat a pimiento cheese sandwich while there.

For golfers on the mainland in Europe a good choice is to travel with Icelandair to one of their destinations, for example to Orlando and then fly up to Augusta or New York and fly down south.

And why not make a Northern Lights stop in Iceland and/or bathe in the Blue Lagoon before heading to the adventures of the year´s 1st major?  One of Icelandair´s aircraft has even been painted in the colors of the Northern Lights, i.e. TF-FIU Boing 757

TF-FIU Boing 757 carries you to Iceland so that you´ll hopefully see the Northern Lights. It´s painted in the colors of  the Aurora borealis green, yellow and blue

The Northern Lights season in Iceland ends April 15th, since then the daylight takes over and it becomes hard to see the beautiful but also elusive lights who are subject to 3 conditions for those wanting to see them: it needs to be as dark outside as possible, there has to be a clear sky, with no cloudcoverage and there needs to be high auroral activity.

When seeing the Northern lights  it´s the major of all majors, making this golfvacation a memorable major lifeexperience!
